These are just a few examples of things I’ve worked on. For the most part, All these were Produced, Engineered and Mixed by me. Check the notes for more details as I’ve been asked to mix a bunch of stuff lately, so some of these examples are of songs I’ve only mixed.

Ruth

Client: Will Dailey/Dana Labb
Release: The Dana Fischel Labb EP
Date: July 2008
Track: Word Travels Faster
Notes: This was produced by Will Dailey. I like the songs and really like Will’s work, so I asked Dana if I could post one from the EP. Thanks man. I mixed and mastered all four of the songs for the EP. Should be available on iTunes very soon.

alchemilla
Release: untitled, 12 Song LP
Date: Due 2008
Tracks: Flourish
Notes: I played drums on this one and three more. Almost done with the next four and we’ll cut four more before the year is out.

Client: Living Syndication/NBC Sports
Release: Track for sports television programming
Date: April 2007
Track: Hubris
Notes: I was called to do this for NBC on a Sunday morning, while I was assiting on a friend’s session, at which time I was told the band needed someone to start recording the song THAT NIGHT. We cut drums and bass that night, guitars the next, vocals the night after that and it was mixed and off to NBC three days later.

Client: Matthew St. Joseph
Release: Winter ‘08 EP
Date: November 2007
Track: I’ll Be Around
Notes: Matthew asked me to mix a few songs he had been working on, so this is one where he had produced the song and had also recorded the music. He came up from NYC so we could cut a new vocal here in Boston, but he had recorded everything else. This song has one of my favorite drummers in the world playing on it, Matt Johnson.

Client: The Break Mission
Release: As Much Light As It Will Take
Date: January 2007
Tracks: Sleep It Off
Notes: I produced and engineered an EP for this band years ago when they were called “Redletter”. I played some of the strings and synths and Jeff Knowlton performed some of them as well. Because the drummer lives in New York City, the drums were recorded there by someone else. This song is slated to go their new record sometime this spring.

Client: Us Versus Them
Release: Self-Titled, 4 Song EP
Date: January 2006
Tracks: New Mourning, Instant Satisfaction
Notes: I played drums, some of the synths, strings and did some of the programming. Matt Romero who is the songwriter played LOTS of the synth stuff. Bobbi G. on fluegelhorn. Tom Polce again on bass, my brother Todd played guitar on New Mourning and Ruth Peterson sang background vocals on Instant Satifaction (both play in the band Ruth with me on drums).

Client: Joe Hardy
Release: Self-Titled, 14 Song LP
Date: April 2006
Track: Remembrance
Notes: This is a solo piano piece as are most on the CD. Some have Cello, but not many. We recorded this live all in one day at Qdivision in Somerville, MA on their wonderful Yamaha C6 baby grand piano. They are Joe’s compositions and he performed them.
